Orangeville Baptist Church - More Than Enough

Beginning in December and continuing through Christmas Eve we are collecting non-perishable food items for food banks in Grand Valley, Shelburne, and Orangeville. Food bins will be available starting Sunday, December 4.

All the food received will be dropped off to the Orangeville Food Bank weekly. Some of the food received will then be distributed to the Shelburne and Grand Valley Food Banks. They will accept all non-perishable food tiems, but at this time they are asking specifically for boxed cereal, instant coffe, powedered milk, canned fruit or fruit cups. Check the church bulletin board for dates in December you and your friends/family can volunteer to pack food.

The Orangeville Food Bank accepts fresh and frozen food as well. Contact them to arrange how you can drop of perishable food directly to them.

Jack and Yvonne McEwan are members of OBC and regularly serve at the Food Bank. Jack says this about the impact that the food bank has on our region, "We've been impressed by two things. When you see people coming in and out of the food bank, you can see that they have real needs. They are not just numbers to us. Also, Dianne and the other volunteers really care about the people. We consider it a privilege to be serving God and others in this way."
