Scripture is very clear about the fact that Jesus loves kids! In Mark 10:14, He says, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." And then He takes in His arms and blesses all the little ones gathered around Him. We love kids, too, and have designed a variety of programs to help them know Jesus Christ personally, grow in their relationship with Him, discover what it means to serve Him, and share Him with others. BLAST (Birth-Grade 5) Sundays, 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Contact: Kevin Van Dyken, Director of Family Ministries. BLAST allows children to personally encounter God each week in a fun, interactive, and high-tech environment. It features age appropriate Bible teaching, small groups, music, crafts, and games, all led by gifted and caring adults. BLAST is available for children from birth through grade 5 during both services. Children from 0-2 years of age can be checked into the nursery on the main floor, and age 2 to grade 5 can be checked in upstairs. BLITZ (Grades 2-5) Thursdays, 6:45-8:30 p.m. January 21-February 25 Cost: $20/block The purpose for BLITZ is to assist the families of Orangeville Baptist Church in building relationships with families in our community by providing fun, skill-developing activities while introducing Christian beliefs and values. Our winter electives are: Woodworking: Do you like to work with your hands? Do you like hammers, wood, and small tools? Then come out for six weeks where you will build some entry-level items out of wood. Wii Olympics: Olympic fever is in the air! Come out and challenge your friends as Mario and Sonic compete in several of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic events. Baking: MMMM…this elective tastes good! Join nine other kids as you bake a variety of delicious foods. During our BLITZ blocks, children can choose from a variety of fun electives! Toward the end of each evening, we spend some time learning life keys. Online registration for our winter block of BLITZ begins on January 7.
